Today, I’m grateful for grace and mercy — the kind that meets me right where I am, in the good, the bad, and everything in between. I’m especially grateful for Jesus and the price He paid on the cross for my sins. That love still stuns me.
I’m thankful that I can obey without apology — even when it doesn’t make sense, and especially when it doesn’t make sense. There’s peace in knowing that obedience brings purpose, even if I don’t see it right away.
I’m grateful that God is God — and when we allow Him to truly be Lord over our lives, He shows up for us and our families in powerful ways. We just have to give Him space to be who He is.
I’m grateful for my sassy little cat. When I got home today, my dry buddy was mysteriously on the floor (thanks to her mischief, I’m sure), and she followed me around until I finally sat down. She’s now curled up comfortably on my lap like she owns the place.
I’m grateful for the simple gift of being able to call my mom. No matter what she’s doing, she always answers. That’s love.
And finally, I’m grateful for the kind guy at the mall who walked back just to hold the door open for me. That’s Jesus too — showing up in the small things, especially since I really don’t like touching anything in public places. LOL!
