I’m Done Settling for Less: Real Love Requires Emotional Maturity

I think I’m just done settling.

People want to be loved, but they don’t know how to love back.
They crave the benefits — the kisses, the attention, the high of euphoria.
But do they know how to stay when the storm hits?

Do they know how to sit quietly in a hospital room while you recover?
Can they support you when life gets messy — when things really get tough?

Comfort and consistency outweigh loud, attention-craving performances.
But some people don’t know that.

Some people are still so emotionally immature.
Meanwhile, others are doing the work — going to therapy,
Facing their demons, using introspection as medicine, not a mask.

Just fix yourselves, please.
Work is not life.
Work is not family.

Friends? Friends are family.
Kids? Life itself.
Pets? The kind of family you never knew you needed until you needed them most.

Real love shows up in the chaos.
Real love listens.
Real love gets its hands dirty.

Some people don’t want love — they want what you have.
They arrive like peasants disguised as models,
Whispering, “Let me seduce him — I want what she has.”

But here’s the thing:
You can look good and still have garbage morals.

That’s not goodness. That’s manipulation.
Goodness without compassion is fake.
And love without kindness? It’s not love — it’s ego.

True love isn’t selfish or boastful.
It stays when it’s hard.
It values you beyond the euphoria.

I’m done settling for anything less.
