Longing and Faith: A Poem About Missing Connection, Love, and Strength

How long for your touch—
those amazing, milky white hands?
Gosh, I miss you.
I miss the idea of you,
that soul alignment, that deep connection
I miss us,
even though you don’t know me,
and maybe you never will.

I miss your voice,
the way you used to speak,
the sound that felt like home.
I hope you’re okay,
I hope you know God walks with you—
never leaving, never forsaking,
wrapping you in His loving arms,
if only you ask, if only you allow.

Strong people need love too,
strong people need support,
strong people need God,
because God is what makes us strong—
Amen to that.

I miss seeing you happy,
glimpses of your light shining through,
though I feel I’m not meant to.
God reveals parts of you to me—
and I miss that revelation deeply.

This longing for connection
is part of my spiritual journey
finding faith and strength in God’s love and support,
even in moments of missing someone.

I hope one day we’ll be together,
not how I want it, not how you want it,
but how God wills it to be.

I wrestle with human doubts,
self-delusions, fears,
but I pray, one day—
you are mine,
and I am yours.
