You guys I work with a corporate suck up ! He is the most annoying person I know , if signs of a brown-noser at work was a person it would be this guy. And here’s the thing he doesn’t know that his doing it! It is the most twisted mental gymnastics I’ve ever seen – what even mann!
The entire team sees how he plays the suck up game, I cringe when I see that nobody in the team wants to talk to him. Today, he went to find him another desk to sit at on a DIFFERENT floor! I mean we all know those employees that kiss up to their boss but this guy takes the cake!
Here’s how to deal with a kiss up at work
- IGNORE them
- Greet them ‘Hello’ and ‘Bye’ even better just nod a greeting
- Don’t share anything with them, I repeat share NOTHING!
- IGNORE them
- Don’t take their unsolicited advice , they just want to make themselves feel like they matter
I am not even joking with the above steps!
Here are the reasons why you shouldn’t suck up at work
- You will be classified as a coward i.e., the term ‘no backbone’ comes to mind
- You will alienate yourself because believe me people will notice!
- Your boss will notice and just take advantage of this ‘quality’
- HR will notice because it will come around to HR
- ‘Brown- noser’ will be tattooed on your forehead
- People will talk about you and not in a good way
Your fancy clothes and attempts to ‘win’ people over will be futile. The sucking up to the boss will become ingrained in your very being. Your alpha attitude that you tried so hard to cultivate will become the very vain of your existence. In life we have choices, mense!
